The biggest feature of the air pressure sensor
The air pressure sensor mainly measures the change of air pressure, not the absolute air pressure value. It works by capturing the adiabatic compression, temperature changes of the air.For example, a gas is sealed in a cylinder made of a material that does not conduct heat (insulating walls), and a piston is moved, causing it to contract or expand. At this time, the contraction is due to the application of gas from the outside, its internal energy increases, and the gas temperature rises. Expansion causes the gas to diffuse to the outside, so the energy inside the gas decreases and the temperature drops. In this way, a window of a sealed room is switched, and a temperature change occurs due to thermal insulation contraction or thermal expansion, and this temperature change is detected as a pressure change.
Main Features of Air Pressure Sensors
▪It can detect very small changes in air pressure (1 Pa), which cannot be measured by ordinary sensors. Changes in atmospheric pressure up to 100kPa can also be measured.
▪The sensor has built-in FET impedance conversion circuit, and the signal is converted into a usable output voltage.
▪ Used to detect the opening and closing of doors in enclosed spaces, used as a car or home alarm
▪Used for in-vehicle GPS to identify whether the car is uphill or downhill
▪Used to detect the human body's pulse in medicine, used as a lie detector in the security department, and used for alarm when swimming pool personnel fall into the water
▪In addition to the above uses, it can also be used in many aspects such as home automation, security protection, industrial testing and air switches
